Explore our small business workshops and training sessions to help grow your business.  

Holmesglen’s Self-Employment Assistance provides support to meet your needs. 

Our small business workshops and small business training services are normally undertaken via remote classrooms, or blended modes online, with specialist facilitators and high levels on interactivity. We also offer face-to-face training and support, flexibly scheduled depending on enrolments.

Small business training schedules

Small Business Training groups commence on average every two weeks. 

  • Our online classroom/facilitated Small Business Training groups commence approximately every two-weeks. 
  • Successful completion of this training may lead to an offer of a Coaching Agreement for free support for 12 months, on review of your Business Plan and associated help to launch your business.
  • You may choose to continue to complete the Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business as well as launch your business with free support.
  • Alternatively, you may choose to enter the shorter training services which will also help you gain the Micro Business Skill Set, BSBSS00102 which will be completed while you develop your business and financial plan.
  • Face-to-face and local service provision is available subject to interest and participant needs. 
  • If you are on a Centrelink payment, the Small Business Training is an approved activity attracting 25 PBAS points per week of attendance.

Small business workshops 

Five-day attendance, normally structured over two weeks.

  • Workshops are scheduled to commence at least monthly but may run more frequently. 
  • Workshops are held in an online facilitated classroom with some Workshops available face to face.
  • Workshops are an approved activity for those on a Centrelink payment and attract 20 PBAS points per week of attendance.
  • Dates are subject to enrolment levels
