Lorna Sutton - FINALIST

Bachelor of Nursing

Lorna embarked on a journey in Nursing, securing a paid position as a Registered Undergrad Student of Nursing role and earning acceptance into the prestigious fellowship at Epworth. Engaging with the Student Representative Council (SRC) for Nursing, she rose to become its president, playing a pivotal role in its establishment within the faculty.

Her dedication to learning, combined with her respectful and compassionate approach to patient care, sets a standard for others to emulate. In recognition of her excellence, Lorna has achieved three Deans letters for High Distinction across all three years and received glowing feedback from each clinical placement assessor.

Having secured a graduate role at Royal Women's Hospital recently, Lorna aims to pursue postgraduate studies in the future. 

Mikayla Royal - FINALIST

Bachelor of Sports Media

A dedicated football player with a passion for sports, Mikayla had a standout achievement in April 2023 when she was selected as the sole representative from Australia to attend the WFCP in Canada.

Engaged in Disability Sports and Recreation, she has been a long-term teacher at the Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Everybody program.

Mikayla is actively involved in her football club and various volunteering efforts, including wildlife sanctuary work with her mum, and she passionately promotes inclusivity and community involvement.

Aiden Box - WINNER

Bachelor of Sports Media

Hailing from Inverloch, Aiden found his path to a career in sports at Holmesglen, fuelled by his passion for sports and victory. He juggled three internships, along with being offered the prized internship at Fox Footy. He was delighted to be broadcasting for SEN as he witnessed his hometown's team clinching its fifth premiership, a lifelong dream fulfilled.

Aiden brings not only energy and inspiration through his commitment to learning, but natural leadership with the ability to bring the best out in those around him.

Being actively engaged in community sports, local media, and volunteering, Aiden's journey represents learning and growth at every turn.
