Holmesglen is continuing to deliver meals and pantry items to students in need, with the kind support of our community partners, including Royal Melbourne Golf Club,  RACV Club, Highett Neighbourhood House, the Father Bob Foundation and Woolworths.

If you are suffering financial hardship as a result of COVID-19 restrictions, you can contact us to arrange delivery of cooked meals or pantry items to your home. Alternatively, you can pick up meals and items from your nearest Holmesglen campus.

Holmesglen continues to provide support services if you are feeling  anxious or stressed about the impact of Coronavirus. Your safety and wellbeing are our priorities.

If you are a Holmesglen students experiencing financial hardship due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) impacts, we offer a range of options to assist with paying your tuition fees.

Payment plans

  • New students or students with currently outstanding fees may enter into a payment plan contract to assist with fee payments.  
  • Students already on a payment plan may apply to defer their next instalments for a period or reduce the instalment amounts payable and extend the term under their current payment plans.

International students should email  InternationalStudentAssist@holmesglen.edu.au to arrange a telephone appointment with our International Student Support team.

Scholarships

We will accept applications for scholarships to cover outstanding fees due to financial hardship as a result of this crisis. Visit the following scholarship pages for details on applying.

Financial counselling

Holmesglen has a professional financial counsellor available to provide free, confidential advice to all students - local and international.  To find out more about the service,  visit our financial counselling page.  You can book an appointment online by emailing studentwellbeing@holmesglen.edu.au or calling 9564 1649.

The Australian Government is also supporting employers to keep their apprentices and trainees employed during this time. Further details on the government scheme can be found here.

If you have been tested for Coronavirus, or have been in contact with a case of the virus, please notify the Institute immediately by calling the dedicated Holmesglen Information Line on 9564 1900.  Phone lines are open 8am - 6pm, Monday - Friday.

It’s important that you also stay away from campus, follow any government advice and speak to your doctor.
 If you have tested negative and are well enough or cleared to return to campus, let us know by calling the dedicated information line.

If the test is positive, the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services will be informed, and you should notify the Institute as a priority. The Department of Health and Human Services will work with Holmesglen to identify individuals that require follow up.
Our Online Community is available 24/7 to keep you engaged with your classmates and peers. We’ve also created videos, articles and discussion groups to help you navigate working remotely or simply make the most of your Holmesglen experience. Keep an eye out for new groups, free webinars and helpful tips.
 
Our Skills and Jobs Centre is a free service to all students. Our career advisors can help you identify your career goals in line with your skills, strengths and interests. Our support includes career counselling, developing a career plan and workshops. To gain work experience, we can help you find and apply for:
  • Practical placements
  • Volunteer work
  • Internships
  • Professional employment programs
