We will celebrate International Women’s Day 2025 to show our support and help #AccelerateAction.
Join us on 7 March 2025 as we celebrate women empowerment, raise awareness about discrimination against women, and celebrate the achievements of outstanding female students at Holmesglen.

Multicultural Week
18 - 24 March
Harmony Week, also known as Multicultural week, is an Australian initiative that celebrates cultural diversity, inclusiveness, and respect for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background. It is a time to promote and celebrate unity, mutual respect, and understanding among the diverse communities that make up the Australian society.
Harmony Week typically takes place late March. This year it will be celebrated on 18 - 24 March.

International Nurses Day
12 - 13 May
International Nurses Day is celebrated annually on 12 May, to honour and commemorate the contributions and dedication of nurses worldwide. This date holds special significance as it marks the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, a pioneering figure in modern nursing.
The day serves as an occasion to recognise the vital role nurses play in providing healthcare, their commitment to patient care, and their significant impact on public health. It's an opportunity to acknowledge the hard work, compassion, and expertise of nurses across various healthcare settings.
IDAHOBIT Day
19 - 23 May 2025
Join us in observing the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), a crucial event dedicated to promoting equality and inclusion for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or sex characteristics. This global observance, which takes place on 19 May, brings people together to raise awareness about the challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community and advocate for a world that embraces diversity.

Trans Awareness Week
13 - 19 November
The week before Transgender Day of Remembrance on 20 November, people and organisations around the country will participate in Transgender Awareness Week, to help raise the visibility of transgender people and address issues members of the community face.
Recreation trips
The student experience often extends beyond the boundaries of our campuses. Our students can visit a range of places across Victoria – all at fraction of the cost to help those on a student budget. Weekends away in Eildon, days snowboarding on the slopes of Mt Buller or soaking in the hot springs on the Mornington Peninsula are just some examples of the unique experiences Holmesglen students can enjoy. Student voice
The Student Representative Council (SRC) is a dynamic student leadership body that represents the voices, ideas, and concerns of the student community. Comprising elected representatives from various programs, the SRC fosters leadership, teamwork, and school spirit through meaningful initiatives and events. Acting as a bridge between students and school administration, the council advocates for positive changes, enhances student engagement, and builds a strong sense of community. Through their roles, SRC members develop essential skills in communication, organisation, and collaboration, making a lasting impact on school life.
