With China one of our largest markets, thousands of Chinese students have chosen to study at Holmesglen.
Holmesglen has also been a pioneer of transnational education, offering Australian vocational qualifications in many countries for over 20 years. China has always been a key market, representing 80% of our offshore enrolments.
We currently have partnerships in Wuhan, Ningbo, Jinan, Changsha, Nanjing, Chengdu, Dalian, Weihai, Suzhou and Guangzhou. Courses offered include international business, accounting, hospitality, building and construction, building design (Architectural), English language training and early childhood education.
Student mobility and teacher exchange programs are a feature of our Chinese partnerships. More than 300 students each year come from our partner institutes and universities to study in Australia at Holmesglen through our pathway programs.
Located in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province. SICT is a full-time state owned vocational education provider, with a history of over 80 years. SICT is one of the top 10 vocational institutes of China’s National High Level Vocational Colleges in Category. There are over 1,000 staff and 15,000 full-time students in SICT, delivering 51 diploma qualifications.
Holmesglen provides SICT with the necessary teaching and learning resources to support SICT's delivery of customised Accounting and International Business programs. Each semester, Holmesglen sends subject experts to SICT to teach some of the core subjects of both Accounting and International Business.
Located in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, China. ZBTI is a full-time state owned vocational education provider, with a history of more than 100 years. It has been awarded as the leading institute in vocational education of Zhejiang Province, and the collaboration program with Holmesglen has been set as an industry bench mark in China. Holmesglen offers two accredited Diploma courses (International Business and Accounting) co-delivered at ZBTI.
Located in Guangzhou City, Guangdong province, China. GTCWE is considered as the leading vocational institute in Guangdong Province as well as in China.
Holmesglen signed the Program Agreement with GTCWE in 2013. Holmesglen has mapped the Chinese diplomas delivered by GTCWE against the accredited Australian diplomas offered by Holmesglen and then provides credit to students who come to Holmesglen for study.
Located in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. It is recognised as one of the best vocational institutes in Hubei province and one of the top 50 higher vocational institutes in China. In 2018, both Holmesglen and Wuhan Polytechnic were medal winners for Student Support Services at the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics Awards.
Advanced Standing was established in September 2016 between Holmesglen and Wuhan Polytechnic. Currently, two Holmesglen programs are offered to WP students, Diploma of Building and Construction, and Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural).
Located in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, China, NXU is a government-owned institute specialisign in providing undergraduate programs in Early Childhood Education. Holmesglen signed with NXU in June 2016.

Located in Changsha City, Hunan Province, China. HIEU is a young and dynamic private university in Southern China.
Holmesglen signed Collaboration Agreement with HIEU in February 2010 to start the transnational education cooperation in the Australian Diploma of Accounting. The cooperative program is for the two institutions to work cooperatively in the provision of quality educational programs which will give HIEU students the opportunity to obtain a Holmesglen Diploma, advanced standing/credit towards continuing tertiary education in the bachelor’s degree of Holmesglen, and a Chinese Diploma in Accounting.
Located in Dalian City, Liaoning Province, China. DLVTC is a full-time state-owned vocational education provider, with a history of over 40 years.
Holmesglen first signed the Agreement for Advanced Standing with DLVTC in March 2013. Four Holmesglen programs in which the advanced standing will be granted to DLVTC students for further study at Holmesglen: Advanced Diploma of International Business, Advanced Diploma of Management, Advanced Diploma of Marketing and the Advanced Diploma of Accounting.
Located in Chengdu City, the capital of Sichuan Province, China. CITC is aiming on cooperating with Holmesglen in mechanical and electrical engineering area.
The educational collaborative partnership in vocational education and language training was signed between Holmesglen and CITC in August, 2016. Three Objectives of the collaboration identified within the MOU include:
Weihai Vocational College, a state-owned full-time Higher Vocational College, located in Weihai City, Shandong Province. Weihai Vocational College was founded in October 2000, approved by Shandong Provincial Government and National Ministry of Education.
Weihai Vocational college is one of the first batch of 28 National Exemplary Higher Vocational Colleges and has been conferred the title of the National Model Base for High-technical Talent Cultivation. It has successively won the honorary titles of Advanced Education college in Shandong Province, the first batch of “Backbone Demonstrative Vocational and Technical College in Shandong Province”, the Advanced Collective of Graduates' Employment in Shandong Province, the Excellent college of Campus Civilization Construction in Shandong Province and the Excellent college of Moral Education in Colleges and Universities of Shandong Province.
An educational collaborative partnership in vocational education and teacher training was signed between Holmesglen and Weihai Vocational College in December 2018. From the signing of MOU, the two sides have been discussing the establishment of cooperative programs in Fashion Design, engineering and hospitality courses. Student study tours and teacher’s training are underway.
Suzhou Vocational University (SVU), is a public full-time university of higher vocational learning, with a history of 110 years. Since its founding in 1911, SVU has become a regional brand school, well acclaimed by the public. The school authorities are committed to the schooling in the direction of vocational education, to the fundamental tasks of helping both teachers and students make their way in their career, and to strengthen the overall planning, in the hope of achieving cooperative, innovative, inter-connecting and win-win outcomes with domestic and international partners.
