Holmesglen’s Electric Vehicle Charging expert, Adam’s easy-going manner makes him popular among both his students and peers alike.
Hailing from a family of electricians, and with daughters he hopes will follow on his path, Adam is a staunch advocate for more women in the electrical industry. He was a trainer in the WAVE initiative which aimed to promote diversity in the electrical industry.
Adam was a key player in the pilot Electric Vehicle Charging course to licensed electricians and helped Centre for U and other industry experts develop this Victorian certificate.
Adam is not only an exceptional teacher but also leverages his industry contacts to help his students secure employment.
Paul Hawthorne
Faculty of Building, Construction Design and Electrotechnology
Coming from the electrical industry with a wealth of experience and knowledge, Paul was drawn to teaching by his desire to elevate the standard of knowledge of electricians entering the industry.
A self-confessed perfectionist, he passes down this trait to his students by demanding a high level of attention to detail and quality. There’s nothing more rewarding to Paul than witnessing the success of his students out in the industry. Visiting their workplaces and seeing them take pride in their accomplishments gives him a “buzz”.
Paul is instrumental in developing new learning methodologies and training delivery and he led the Holmesglen team at the the Energy Breakthrough Challenge, a 4-day event with 300 other teams from schools around Victoria.
Robert Woolley
Faculty of Building, Construction Design and Electrotechnology
Being able to engage students with humour, creative lessons and a strong classroom presence is an important part of what makes Rob an excellent teacher. His ability to innovate teaching methodologies and update course material sets him apart, making him a valued member of the plumbing department.
An experienced plumbing expert, Rob maintains strong industry links and brings his knowledge on industry developments and new regulatory updates to enrich his teaching and delivery.
Outside of teaching, Rob is a CFA Brigade Captain and Deputy Group Officer, overseeing two stations and 45 volunteer members to manage and support in active firefighting and ongoing training and development.
Dylan Beverley
Faculty of Education and Foundation Studies
Dylan is an inspiration to his young students, exemplifying relentless drive and eagerness to tackle any task.
His significant contributions towards organising camp programs featuring engaging activities like trivia nights and leadership games fostered not only fun experiences but also new friendships and valuable skills among his students.
Dylan's multifaceted strengths including his organisational prowess and dedication greatly benefit Holmesglen and his students. He plays a pivotal role in development of Curriculum and Assessment plans for VCE VM program units and is also an active force organising the Year 12 graduation.
Being an person of many talents, Dylan’s passion for photography often captures the essence of his student projects.
