Darren Wilson

AHC31421 Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management

Darren’s determination led him to the remarkable achievement of securing his dream job as an indigenous ranger even before he finished his course, a strong testament to his strength and perseverance.

Interactions with classmates of diverse backgrounds and perspectives have reshaped his perception of traditional schooling, broadened his understanding, and enriched his overall learning experience.

Darren’s ambition is to assume a leadership role in conservation of sea country, with a vision to educate and empower the younger indigenous generation.

Hudson Fraser

AHC31421 Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management

Hudson thrives outside the classroom, away from traditional study methods and past academic struggles. At Holmesglen he found joy in experiential learning and interactive exercises like organising talks on diverse topics like natural environment, food, and medicine plants.

He works as an Indigenous educator with Living Culture, where their mission is to offer insights from an Indigenous perspective to the broader community. His role includes educating through field tours and school talks on conservation topics like local wildlife.

A proud moment for Hudson was when he and his team won the “Indigenous Organisation Award” from the Frankston/Mornington NAIDOC Awards.

Dreaming of a career in conservation or eco-regions within local councils, Hudson aspires to become a teacher and envisions himself teaching at TAFE and working with young children.
