The VPC offers an engaging curriculum and further support, to develop your work-related skills and abilities you need to succeed in the real-world.
The VPC can provide the platform to progress into a senior secondary qualification, such as the VCE Vocational Major or an entry-level VET program, or straight into a job.
The VPC has been designed as a fantastic option if you are not ready to complete the VCE or VCE Vocational Major.
The VPC can be studied at your own pace, with teachers assessing your progress through various classroom learning activities.
There may be times where the length of the course is adjusted to suit the needs of student.
As part of the VPC, you will complete at least 12 units from four studies, including core units across the following:
- VPC Literacy,
- VPC Numeracy,
- VPC Work Related Skills,
- VPC Personal Development Skills.
Students may undertake more than 12 units in their VPC. You will also be able to add additional units from the VCE, the VCM, or VET. Also included is structured workplace learning, which is spending time within a workplace, recognition for on-the-job training, or work placements.
Furthermore, the VPC learning programs will prepare students for further education, future employment as well as receive continuous support throughout their journey.
Discuss this with your teacher or career practitioner if VPC sounds like the best option for you.
They will help create a tailored program that will suit your learning requirements and interests.
