Entry Requirements

To qualify for this course, you must have completed one of these courses:<p> - CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)<br> - CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)<br> - CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability, along with the CHCSS00125 Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set.<p>Applicants must provide documented evidence of their successful completion of the prerequisite studies to be eligible for consideration for entry into this course. In addition, they should demonstrate commitment to completing the course and a genuine interest in working in the Disability sector and with people who have a disability.
Applicants must be 18 years to apply for the course. <p>Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Course Structure

Timetable

Holmesglen offers this course as fully on-campus training with access to online learning resources. You will need to attend classes 2 days per week for 19 weeks from 9.30am – 4.00pm. You will also need to complete some online learning tasks.<p>Your classes will be delivered:<br>- Chadstone campus (face-to-face, on-campus delivery)<br>- Every Tuesday and Friday during State school terms<p>To receive this qualification you must complete 7 core units and 3 elective units. Holmesglen has chosen elective units based on industry feedback around the skills required for the job. If you completed the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) course at Holmesglen, you will automatically receive 3 Credits toward this course.<p>External applicants should contact the teaching Department to discuss Credits offered for previous study.
