Allied health assistants often work across health disciplines to assist multiple Allied Health professionals and may, in some cases, specialise in one discipline area (such as physiotherapy assistance).
This course is delivered at Holmesglen's Moorabbin campus and will provide students with comprehensive training in the speciality streams of physiotherapy and occupational therapy, as well as information about other areas, including group work and community rehabilitation.
All our clinical specialist units are taught by allied health assistants who maintain their industry currency. Learning will be supported through a range of online activities, lectures and tutorials.
Practical sessions are conducted in our state-of-the-art allied health facility, with simulated hospital rehabilitation and community environments. Training is further enhanced with access to virtual reality learning opportunities and the Holmesglen state of the art Simulation Centre, providing students with real life scenarios in preparation for entry into the workplace.
