The Diploma of Hospitality Management is tailored towards learners who wish to complete a concurrent Diploma of Hospitality Management and Diploma of Golf Management (10810NAT). The Diploma of Golf Management is delivered by the PGA International Golf Institute. Learners enrol with Holmesglen for the Diploma of Hospitality Management and can enrol with the PGA International Golf Institute to complete the Diploma of Golf Management after successful completion of the Diploma of Hospitality Management semester 1 units.<p>Learners undertake the full-time Diploma of Hospitality Management (Golf Management Stream) over 3 semesters, 4 days per week, and 5 hours per day on campus for face-to-face delivery. Lessons are a mixture of practical and theoretical, and units are contextualised to include assessments and content based on the Australian golf industry. Face-to-face workshops, lectorials, demonstrations, practical tasks, group work, and role plays are used to support learning content and reading material. Guest speakers are used to demonstrate current industry practices and trends and support theoretical concepts.<p>This qualification reflects the role of highly skilled senior operators who use a broad range of hospitality skills combined with managerial skills and sound knowledge of the industry to coordinate hospitality operations. They operate independently, have responsibility for others, and make a range of operational business decisions. This qualification provides a pathway to work in any hospitality industry sector as a departmental or small business manager.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
