When combined with your existing workplace skills, this diploma equips you to excel as an assistant manager or manager in turf-related businesses or local council settings.<p>Upon completion, you'll be qualified for employment in golf courses, bowling greens, councils, and other horticulture-related areas.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 18 years of age.<p>Applicants must have previously completed a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or an equivalent turf management trade level qualification.<p>Alternatively, applicants must hold a Certificate III-level qualification in amenity horticulture combined with two years' current work experience in a trade level role at a sports turf facility.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. This information will determine your suitability to the course, verify your training plan and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Additional Course Cost

The required personal protective equipment students will be required to supply is: <br>- Safety boots (steel capped, ankle height) <br>- Safety pants <br>- Work shirt (waist length jacket, if cold) <br>- Safety glasses <br>- Ear protection <br>- Hat for sun protection <br>- Sunscreen (if exposed to sunlight) <br>- Safety Gloves (if handling building materials) <br>- Note pad / Biro <br>The total cost of these items is between $250 - $300 <br>If additional safety equipment is required, it will be supplied by the Institute.
