Studying the Certificate III in Horticulture at Holmesglen

This course is specifically designed for those aiming to formalise their skills and knowledge or who have previously completed a Certificate II in Horticulture.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 18 years of age.<p>Applicants must have been working in horticulture for at least two years, or have previously gained Certificate II in Horticulture. They are required to be mobile, with adequate fine motor skills in order to complete some of the assessments.<p>Learners will require a minimum of 2 years working within the horticulture industry or have previously gained a Certificate II in Horticulture or equivalent.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training.
