Entry Requirements

To be eligible, learners must be at least 18 years old. Learners must also demonstrate vocational competency in the area they plan to teach and assess. This means having broad industry knowledge and experience, which may include holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification. Additionally, applicants must have recent industry experience within the last 2–5 years.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. Applicants will also be required to attend an on-campus interview and where they will need to complete a shorthand written literacy exercise.<p>These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. February Group 1: Classes run 9.30am to 4pm, Tuesday (1 day per week)<br>February Group 2: Classes run 9.30am to 4pm, Wednesday (1 day per week)<br>February Group 3: Classes run 9.30am to 4pm, Thursday (1 day per week)<p>You get to learn through blended delivery which means you attend both on campus and virtual classes, undertake learning and assessment activities online, and have access to all learning resources and assessments via the learning management system.<p>The course includes completion of the TAESS00028 Work Skill Instructor Skill Set which provides learners with opportunity to gain employment as trainers working under supervision. The skill set is completed by the end of the first term of study for each intake.

Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.

Additional Course Cost

It is recommended but not mandatory that learners purchase a Laptop: $600.00 - $900.00 <br>Text book $122.00 (Print) or $97 (eBook) is an additional cost if learners wish to purchase.
