Studying the Certificate I in Work Education at Holmesglen

Study at Holmesglen offers a supportive and practical environment to help you build essential skills for the workplace. You’ll develop job-seeking, work-readiness, time-management, personal presentation, teamwork, and communication skills. Learning in small groups of up to 12 students ensures individualised attention from experienced teachers dedicated to your success. The program includes two two-week work placements and a two-night camp, providing hands-on experience and building your confidence to achieve your employment goals. Holmesglen is committed to guiding you every step of the way.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible students must be at least 16 years of age.<p>You will need to come to a meeting with a parent or carer to find out if the course will meet your needs.<p>Students over 18 will need a current police check to take part in voluntary work.course.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Assessment

Additional Course Cost

Students may be required to obtain a National Police Records check for placement or voluntary work. The approximate cost is $50.
