Entry Requirements

Learners must be 18 years or older at the time of program commencement.<p>Learners must be able to participate in assessable industry placements to successfully complete the course. A current Working With Children Check card is a requirement for placement. Some criminal convictions may prevent an applicant from obtaining a Working With Children Check card and therefore they will not be able to complete the course.<p>Candidates must be able to physically complete the Practicum requirements of this course.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Course Structure

Timetable

<strong>Waverley: </strong>Classes run from 9am to 4pm - Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (three days per week on campus).<p><strong>Moorabbin:</strong>Classes run from 9am to 4pm - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (three days per week on campus).<p>To receive this qualification, you must complete 17 units in total, comprising of 13 core units and 4 elective units. Elective units have been chosen by Holmesglen based on feedback from industry and staff qualifications.<p>It is expected that the learner will apply approximately 180 hours of self study and research towards the acquisition of this course.

Assessment
