The program incorporates two main elective streams: Cyber Security and Hardware Technician. This course is open to secondary school students in Years 10-12. You can learn future work skills while studying in your final years at secondary school. This two-year course will develop your skills in:<p> • computer hardware installation and repair<br> • helpdesk support<br> • cyber security threat detection<br> • securing private information from security threats<br> • building security awareness best practice in workplace environments<br> • working in a team to drive solutions for workplace problems<br> • teamwork in supporting business decision making<br> • health and safety in a workplace<br> • investigating emerging technologies and their job roles
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
