This two-year program is for secondary school learners taking on VET studies as part of their school enrolment. Over the course of the program, learners will be able to complete the qualification and have the option of undertaking a Scored Assessment.<p>During the first year of the program, learners will learn how to manage personally identifiable information (PII) and methods of creating 3D Models using industry-standard software, such as Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, and Substance Painter. Students will make original 3D game art, animations, and will learn how to show case them all in a video game using a game engine.<p>During the second year of the program, learners will explore foundational programming and additional IT skill sets. Where they will learn the skills to install and optimise operating system software, provide system administration, create system backups and respond to and provide support to clients. They will also learn to provide and carry out maintenance and fault repair procedures on hardware and software. Finally, they will learn how to install, configure, and secure a small office network. All this will prepare them for the VCE examination.<p>The Certificate III in Information Technology is a hands-on, beginner-friendly course, introducing students to professional IT skills while enjoying game creation. Over two years, students will cover five subjects in game art, design, programming, and IT help desk skills.<p>The program uses a flipped learning approach, where students receive all resources at the start of class, allowing them to study in advance and fully engage during lessons.
