Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 18 years of age.<p>Prior to commencing this qualification an individual must have completed the following units of competency (or equivalent).<br>• FNSACC321 Process financial transactions and extract interim reports<br>• FNSACC322 Administer subsidiary accounts and ledgers<br>• FNSACC418 Work effectively in the accounting and bookkeeping industry<br>• FNSACC421 Prepare financial reports (this unit is the equivalent version of BSBFIA401 Prepare financial reports).<br>These competencies may have been achieved through completion of the following (or their equivalent):<br>• FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set <br>Or • FNS40222 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training, learners will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Course Structure

Timetable

Program is structured to be completed over two semesters. <p>Students are required to attend 3 remote evening classes a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday) from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm each day.<p>To receive this qualification, you must complete 11 units in total, comprising of 7 core units and 4 elective units. Elective units have been chosen by Holmesglen based on feedback from industry and staff qualifications.
