Specializations include:<br>• Water<br>• Backflow Prevention<br>• Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV)<br>• Gas<br>• Drainage<br>• Sanitary<br>• Mechanical<p>You will gain core competencies to manage work-based risk control processes, establish legal and risk requirements for new business ventures, cost and estimate work, read and interpret plans and specifications, and access and interpret regulatory requirements. Competency in these areas is essential and forms the foundation of the primary plumbing "Classes" defined by the VBA. This course focuses on the following key areas:<br>• Drainage<br>• Gasfitting<br>• Mechanical Services<br>• Roofing (Stormwater)<br>• Sanitary<br>• Water Supply<p>The course also includes specialized VBA registration/licensing classes in:<br>• Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV)<br>• Backflow Prevention<p>The course delivery includes face-to-face classes featuring both theoretical and practical lessons. The hands-on training will challenge the knowledge learned in class and help you develop the critical thinking skills needed to solve real-world problems in the plumbing industry. With support from dedicated teachers, you will have the guidance and resources necessary to succeed in your studies and future career.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
