Competency in these areas is essential and forms the foundation of the primary plumbing "Classes" defined by the VBA. This course focuses on the following key areas:<br>• Drainage<br>• Gasfitting<br>• Mechanical Services<br>• Roofing (Stormwater)<br>• Sanitary<br>• Water Supply<p>The course also includes specialized VBA registration/licensing classes in:<br>• Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV)<br>• Backflow Prevention<p>The course delivery includes face-to-face classes featuring both theoretical and practical lessons. The hands-on training will challenge the knowledge learned in class and help you develop the critical thinking skills needed to solve real-world problems in the plumbing industry. Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 18 years of age when commencing the course.<p>For the operations stream, a candidate must hold a Certificate III in Plumbing or be authorised to undertake plumbing work by an Australian regulator/licensing body.<p>The CPC40920 Certificate III in Plumbing has outcomes which would allow people to enter into licenced occupations in some jurisdictions. As such states and territories have licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements. Relevant state and territory regulatory authorities should be consulted to confirm those requirements.<br>Qualifications could include:<br>• CPC32411 Certificate III in Plumbing<br>• CPC32412 Certificate III in Plumbing <br>• CPC32413 Certificate III in Plumbing<br>• CPC32420 Certificate III in Plumbing
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training, you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability for the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training.
