At Holmesglen, the Certificate II in Plumbing offers a hands-on learning experience that combines theory and practical skills. The program focuses on kinesthetic and visual learning, helping students develop both technical expertise and knowledge. You’ll begin by learning essential skills like using plumbing tools, working with sheet metal, and building simple pipe systems. Lessons are taught in a structured way, with face-to-face classes and online resources via Holmesglen’s Learning Management System, Brightspace. Friendly and experienced teachers provide support throughout, guiding you in a simulated work environment that reflects real industry conditions. This approach ensures you’re ready for a plumbing apprenticeship or entry-level job. By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills to advance in your plumbing career or continue your studies.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
