From initial preparation and planning to the actual loading, unloading, and storage processes, this program ensures you understand best practices and safety protocols, preparing you to handle plant equipment efficiently and securely in various operational contexts.

Studying the Load and unload plant at Holmesglen

The program includes <br>-Hazard identification and implementation of controls<br>-Ensuring that the specifications of the plant to be loaded are within the manufacturer limits of the float or trailer<br>-Selection, inspection and use of appropriate tools, loading aids and equipment<br>-Techniques for loading, securing and unloading plant safely.<br>-Stowing equipment<p>The program and assessment cover the theoretical and safety knowledge that underpins these activities as well as well as opportunities to practice and demonstrate all the skills and required tasks

Entry Requirements

- Minimum 18 years of age<br>- Construction Induction Card (CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry)<br>- At least 12 months’ employment experience in civil construction or relevant industry <br>- At least 6 months experience as a mobile plant operator. <br>- At least 1 plant ticket <br>- Current employment in relevant industry and referral from employer
Prior to enrolment you will be required to complete a pre-training review and may be asked to complete a language, literacy and numeracy test. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training.
