Studying the Conduct backhoe/loader operations at Holmesglen

The program includes:<br>-Planning and preparing for backhoe operations<br>-Selecting and changing attachments<br>-Travelling safely across sites.<br>-Using backhoe safely to complete civil construction tasks<p>The program and assessment cover the theoretical and safety knowledge that underpins these activities as well as well as opportunities to practice and demonstrate all the skills and required tasks.

Entry Requirements

- To be eligible, students must be at least 18 years of age.<br>- at least 18 months industry experience in construction or relevant industry <br>- Construction Induction Card (CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry) <br>- at least 1 of excavator, front end loader or skid steer loader plant operations ticket. <br>- at least 12 months employment experience operating mobile plant <br>- required LLN level
Prior to enrolment you will be required to complete a pre-training review and may be asked to complete a language, literacy and numeracy test. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training.
