Aleta Gilmartin
Centre for Cyber Security and Digital Information Technology
Aleta started as a part time computing teacher in the Applied Science department in 1993 before moving into the Computing and IT in 2005.
She went on to become the Teaching Centre Manager for the Computing and IT and Electrical departments in 2012 and soon after rose to a faculty Dean in 2015.
She believes that being involved in the structural design of the Diploma of Technology (Computing) and obtaining TEQSA approval for the Bachelor of Information Systems are highlights of her achievements at Holmesglen.
Craig Treyvaud
Faculty of Building, Construction Design and Electrotechnology
Craig started off as a teacher and went on to hold several positions that include Teaching Centre Manager, Industry Skills Manager, Industry Liaison and Compliance Officer for Building Trades.
Seeing students develop their skills and build careers has been rewarding for Craig as well as having opportunities through professional development to advance his own career. His proudest moments are when Holmesglen students and staff are held in high esteem and recognised for their training quality within their industries.
Gillian Down
Timetable Manager
Having started at Holmesglen’s Timetable Office in May 1993, Gillian stayed on because she enjoyed it so much. She considers herself lucky to have built some wonderful friendships with her colleagues. Gillian enjoys the camaraderie of working under pressure and finding creative solutions to deal with timetabling challenges.
Gillian felt most proud to be a part of the Holmesglen team while the Institute supported international students throughout the pandemic and hearing about the impact this made.
