You'll learn to build elegant, responsive websites and web applications using the tools and techniques required in industry.
Open lab sessions are available with experienced developers who can mentor and guide you through any learning challenges. This course focuses on the essential skills and knowledge needed to build front-end web sites and back-end applications.
You will learn to create rich, efficient, responsive (mobile ready) and accessible websites.

Course structure
This course is delivered both on campus and remotely via WebEx, at the same scheduled class time. Students can either attend on campus or join the class online.

Assessment
Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.
Entry requirements
VCE or equivalent, mature age (at least 18 years and above) with English language proficiency of IELTS 5.5 (Academic).
Prior to enrollment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview.
These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your computer skills and identify any learning support needs.
Recognition of prior learning
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
