To be eligible, students must be at least 17 years of age.<p>Prior to enrolment or commencement of this higher education program, you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment. This will assist with determining your suitability to the course, and identify any learning support needs.<p><strong>Applicants with Recent Secondary Education (within the past two years)</strong><br>This course uses the ATAR as part of its selection consideration. <p>An applicant may be admitted to the course after completing VCE with the following:<br> <br>• Units 3 and 4 English Language with a study score of at least 20, OR English as an Additional Language (EAL) with a study score of at least 25.<p><strong>For these three applicant types: <br>Applicants with Higher Education Study<br>Applicants with Vocational Education and Training (VET) Study<br>Applicants with Work and Life experience</strong> <p><strong>The following entry requirements apply:</strong> <br>Your entire academic record will be considered<br>You will also be required to attend a 30-minute interview where your suitability for enrolment will be determined. <p>You should bring supporting documentation for review, which could include:<br>a personal CV outlining your relevant work and life experience<br>letters of reference from employers<br>documents relating to prior study, including course and subject transcripts, and course and subject outline documents. <br> <br>The Computing and IT Department will contact you to arrange an interview time, once you have applied.

<strong>Pathways into the course</strong><br>Applicants who already hold a certificate, diploma or higher qualification in an IT field will be offered an admissions pathway into the Bachelor of Information Systems.<p>Advanced Standing will be considered for applicants who have:<br>been awarded an IT diploma or higher in the last 5 years<br>have more than 2 years’ experience working in the IT industry.<p>Applicants seeking advanced standing need to apply to enrol. The Computing and IT Department will contact you to arrange an interview to review your Advanced Standing application.
