Studying the Diploma of Accounting at Holmesglen
Classes are highly interactive, with challenging and relevant assignments and projects. You will gain knowledge and skills in practical accounting applications to gain employment in entry level accounting positions.

Assessment
Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.
Entry requirements
Completion of the FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set;
OR
Completion of FNS40217 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent; or its superseded versions (FNS40215 Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or FNS40615 Certificate IV in Accounting) or their equivalent.
A functioning desktop or a laptop computer with webcam, microphone, headset and a good Internet connection is required to take your classes in an efficient virtual environment.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
