Overview
The Licence to Perform Dogging course will allow you to develop the skills and knowledge you need to safely and efficiently complete dogging activities. The qualification can increase your opportunities to work on construction sites, in mines, and many other industries.
Studying the Licence to perform dogging at Holmesglen
This course covers the scope of work needed to demonstrate competency in the application of slinging techniques, selection and inspection of lifting gear, and/or directing a crane/operator in moving a load when the load is out of view of the crane/operator, for licensing purposes.
With plenty of practical, hands-on training, you will learn to:
plan the job
select and inspect equipment
identify and manage hazards
prepare the site and equipment
perform the task
shut down the job and clean up.
Course structure
This accredited skill set is made up of 1 unit of competence, CPCCLDG3001 Licence to Perform Dogging. This unit is based on the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work and in its current form meets state and territory licensing requirements. Any alteration will result in a unit which is not acceptable to regulators for the purpose of licensing.

Assessment
Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.
Entry requirements
A good command of the English language, both written and verbal, is recommended.
A pre-training review will determine the suitability of prospective learners to the course.
Minimum 18 years of age.
Applicants must be an Australian citizen.

Qualification and recognition
On completion, you will receive a Statement of Attainment in CPCCLDG3001 Licence to Perform Dogging.
