Zest is the student training restaurant at Holmesglen’s Glen Waverley campus. We offer a seasonal changing menu suitable for all to come and enjoy.

Our restaurant provides a unique dining environment for lunch or dinner during the school term times and caters for individual bookings or group bookings. We also host several specialty and regional dinners throughout the year.

Zest is a fully licensed restaurant with a wide selection of well sourced wines, beers, spirits, liqueurs, cocktails and mocktail available at a very reasonable price.

Zest offers modern Australian cuisine and provides industry focus training to future hospitality professionals. This allows the trainees to practice their learned food and beverage service skills, knowledge, and interpersonal skills.

Term 2

Zest Wine Dinner | 5-course dinner including matched fine wines $95pp | Thursday 25 June, 6.30pm

The food and wine appreciation dinner is the final assessment for Diploma of Hospitality students, showcasing their skills in wine knowledge, food pairing, and service. After studying viticulture, viniculture, wine tasting, and Australian wine trends, students have collaborated with the chef to create a multi-course menu paired with carefully selected beverages.

During the evening, students will present their research and explain their pairing choices, offering guests an engaging and educational dining experience. The event celebrates their learning journey and provides a professional, real-world hospitality showcase.

With over a decade of experience spanning three continents, he has worked with some of the world’s most prestigious hospitality brands, including The Ritz-Carlton, The Westin, and The Taj Mahal Hotel. Apoorva has consistently raised culinary standards, earning recognition for both his technical mastery and creative flair.

Currently, as the Executive Chef at The Westin, Melbourne, Chef Apoorva leads a dedicated culinary team, continuing to innovate and inspire. A silver medallist, visionary leader, and lifelong learner, he remains devoted to pushing boundaries, championing sustainability, and mentoring aspiring culinary professionals.

This themed cocktail event showcases the creativity, flair, and mixology skills students have developed throughout their cocktail studies and training.

If you’re short on time, you’re welcome to choose just one or two courses from our Café/Bistro menu. We can have you in and out in 30–60 minutes with a quick, delicious lunch at our Glen Waverley campus.

If you’d prefer to unwind and enjoy the full three‑course experience, simply let us know you’re not in a rush and we’ll make sure you can relax and take your time.

Zest High Tea Lunches | $50pp*

This isn’t an afternoon tea - it’s a generous lunch presented in a High Tea style.

You’ll enjoy a delicious selection of savoury bites, including sandwiches, tartlets, pastries, and a mix of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres. Then comes the sweet finale: cakes, pastries, macarons, mini desserts, scones with jam and cream, and more. 

Every item is crafted in‑house by our patisserie students under the expert guidance of our highly skilled Patisserie Teachers.

Zest has a seated capacity of up to 60 guests

Please inform us at the time of booking if anyone in your party has any food allergies or intolerances we should know about beforehand. We can accommodate most common dietary requests such as Pescatarian, Vegetarian and Coeliac meals.

Children's meals are available on request for $25 per person and include a main meal and dessert.
