At Holmesglen, you’ll receive exceptional support from experienced teachers while gaining practical skills in sports coaching and activities at premier facilities like RSEA Park and other Saints venues. You will engage in community sports events, assist physical education staff at local primary schools, and gain valuable hands-on experience during men’s and women’s St. Kilda game days.<p>In addition, you’ll take part in Gala Day sports events, where you will plan, organise, and conduct coaching sessions for local students. A key component of your training is practical placement, designed to bridge the gap between study and employment, requiring a commitment of 150 hours over the course. You will be guided in a supportive environment and must provide a Working with Children Check. All materials and associated costs will be confirmed prior to enrolment.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
