Overview

The Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining provides apprentices with comprehensive training for the wall and ceiling lining industry, incorporating a range of practical and theoretical aspects of the trade in both domestic and commercial settings. You will develop skills in such things as fixing wall and ceiling sheets, installing ornamental cornices and installing suspended ceilings.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.<p>As this is an apprenticeship delivery, all students must have an employer and a valid Apprenticeship Contract in place prior to commencement.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Assessment

Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.

How to apply

Apprenticeship

Outcomes

Qualification and Recognition

After completing your apprenticeship, you will receive the nationally endorsed CPC31220 Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining.

Additional Course Cost

Students will be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when undertaking practical activities. The personal protective equipment and course materials students will be required to supply are: <br>Safety boots (steel capped, ankle height) <br>Work pants and shirt <br>Safety gloves (when handling building materials) <br>Dust respirator to P2/P3 standard when required <br>Fold-out ruler Notebook, HB Pencil, blue or black pen, eraser <br>BYO Device-Laptop $400 <br>The total cost of these items is between $650 - $750 <br>If additional safety equipment is required, it will be supplied by the Institute.
