About the Collection

Taking the ideas of balance and harmony, I really want to show the dark and light of the world and our culture as a population on this planet. The eye and hand motifs throughout my collection is a call to the belief that everyone is always watching and judging or pulling you into a certain direction.

Kyle Taylor

Kyle is a Pathway student from the Certificate IV in Clothing Production. He started the Bachelor of Fashion Design in 2022 and has seen success in being the Holmesglen Institute representative on the MFW Student Runway in 2023.

About the Collection

'Cuck' explores the preservation and degradation of the masculine figure. Drawing influence from Greco-Roman statues, Kyle works with crinoline and plaster texturing to create shells or facades of the male body, exposing the figure beneath.

Jasmine Dietzel

About the Collection

The Judges robe has been a long-standing symbol of justice and legal action originating in the British court system from as early as the Middle Ages. Despite changes in colour across judicial systems, countries, seasons and occasions, the key purpose of the court costume has always remained; to appear unified while conveying power in upholding the law to protect the people.

This collection questions how a uniform garment that lacks personality can sever the connection between the Court and the People, and therefore between the Court and the Planet.

It explores how radically altering the presentation of courtly clothing might inspire reconnection and collaboration between lawmakers and the people.

Elliot Van Moorsel

About the Collection

As a designer, I was self-indulgent when following the brief of “The SPACE In-Between”.

I leaned into the space theme with Retro Futurism and Astronauts being a visual inspiration, fabric, and more. I fell into using whites, silver, and orange to fall into the theme I chose that I used to convey the clean look while adding volume to the sleeve and drawstrings, with tucks for volume and texture.

With the theme, I chose my style leaned into the 2000s skater street style which led to the idea of what would a skater wear in space stations.
