Local entrepreneur Eduardo Weisinger recently made his mark in the small business world, taking home the 2024 National Self-Employment Assistance ‘Best New Business’ Award for his eco-friendly cleaning service, Earthwize.

Founded in October 2023 with the support of Holmesglen Institute’s Self Employment Assistance program, Earthwize has grown quickly thanks to its mission-driven model and a strong focus on ethical, sustainable practices.

Eduardo’s business not only prioritises environmentally safe cleaning methods but also hires individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, making a positive social impact in the community.

Eduardo shared his vision for Earthwize, saying,

“Humans and animals are affected by the choices we make. If, as a company, we can make that contribution not to pollute the environment, we're not only helping the environment, but we’re also helping ourselves.”

Earthwize’s rapid growth and focus on strategic marketing and management have been key factors in its early success, thanks in part to guidance from Holmesglen’s Self-Employment Assistance program.

“It was a great collaboration with the City of Stonnington, we had some fantastic speakers and exhibitors and the atmosphere was very positive. We received great feedback from our exhibitors on most of them will be back again next time” said Rosie Johnston, Engagement Officer at Holmesglen’s Self-Employment Assistance program.
