A celebration of excellence in education and training

Holmesglen student award winners pose in a group photo, holding their certificates.

As Holmesglen’s 27th Annual Gala Awards ceremony approaches, we are taking a moment to applaud our finalists and wish them well.

Over twenty finalists have been selected in fifteen plus award categories, each candidate shortlisted for their exceptional performance or contributions. Awards will include student, staff and industry categories, with selected awards being sponsored by generous benefactors.

Students from a diverse range of study areas will be awarded for their hard work, adversities they have overcome as well as their learning accomplishments.

“My best achievement is seeing myself now, compared to what I used to be back when I first started. I am proud to see myself growing” says Ben McMahon, finalist in the George Kline Apprentice of the Year category.

Staff awards will include recognition of teaching excellence and outstanding contributions to the Holmesglen community. This year’s ceremony will also include the inaugural Peter Lewinsky Teaching Fellowship, a professional development opportunity for Holmesglen’s teaching staff, offered by the former Board Chair of Holmesglen.

Allison Kenneally, finalist in the staff Innovation Award category says, “Being nominated for this award means my hard work at Holmesglen has been recognised and I’m very proud”.

In addition to student and staff awards, the Industry Appreciation Award will recognise our valued industry partners and their role in enhancing the quality of our training, while also increasing the employability of our graduates.

The series of Holmesglen Awards Festival events include our Department Awards and Academic Graduations, culminating in our Gala Awards on the 31 May 2024. We look forward to the awards night and wish all our finalists the very best.
