Skills First Reconnect Program

Helping people reconnect with quality education or training and find employment 

Holmesglen's Skills First Reconnect Program can give you one-on-one case management support if you're looking to re-engage with education. The program can help you overcome the barriers that have prevented you from engaging in education and training, and can support you into further study or employment.

How we can help you

Skills First Reconnect Coaches work with you to:
  • identify learning and career goals
  • develop a tailored plan in conjunction with the individual to meet their goals
  • skills and careers assistance
  • job readiness services
  • transitioning into training, education and employment
  • access to internal and external outreach services 
  • individual tailored learning and employment plans


Who is eligible?

  • Young people aged 17-19 who have not been engaged in education or training for six months or more.
  • Unemployed people aged 20-64 who have not been engaged in education or training for six months or more.
  • Peope aged 17-24 currently or previously on a Youth Justice Order.
  • Asylum seekers aged 17-64.

Holmesglen delivers the Skills First Reconnect Program to the following local government areas:

  • Glen Eira
  • Stonnington
  • Bayside
  • Monash
  • Kingston
