Studying the Certificate III in Fitness at Holmesglen
Because the course specialises in gym instruction, you will learn how to provide individually tailored client assessments, provide technique correction as needed, and develop and demonstrate programs.
It also includes supervision of a facility or service, keeping equipment clean, tidy and well maintained, and handling various customer enquiries.
Simulation in our purpose-built gymnasium is a key component for this qualification. It is a structured program design to give all students of the Certificate III in Fitness a true "hands-on" experience prior to entering the industry. Simulation is designed to bridge the gap between study and employment.
This program has compulsory activities/materials as part of the learning experience. The department will confirm the cost of these activities/materials prior to your enrolment.
Timetable: 3 days per week, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays: 9am to 4pm
Classes are both practical and theoretical in nature, combining on-campus face-to-face lessons, and online classes you can attend off campus.
Most theory components are delivered through our online learning management system as pre-recorded lessons, activities, reading and video resources to develop your knowledge in preparation for the practical components which are delivered on campus in a simulated gym.
