You will be taught by industry specialist teachers using a virtual classroom environment enabling you to learn from home, attending scheduled classes on your computer using video streaming facilities.

Timetable: 3 days per week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 9.30am to 5pm
To receive this qualification you must complete 7 core units and 12 elective units.
Elective units have been chosen by Holmesglen based on travel and tourism industry feedback.

Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.
Mature attitude and approach to study; good communication; organisational and technical skills; ability and desire to work face to face with customers; smart presentation and grooming; and ability to work well under pressure and within a team environment.
Participants require sufficient computer skills to enable them to engage with the teacher for their scheduled virtual classroom periods using the video conferencing software program WebEx.
As this course is delivered as a remote delivery program in a virtual classroom environment, you are required to use a computer or laptop (under 5 years old) fitted with a video conferencing camera with a stable high-speed broadband internet connection. Tablets are not suitable to undertake this course.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview.
These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
