Bakery and Pastry Open Days

Visit us on Open Day for a formal presentation on the hospitality industry, starting at 5pm, followed by a tour of our fabulous student training restaurants, commercial kitchens and study facilities. After receiving a general overview, we nominate expert staff for you to talk to in detail about patisserie programs, including pathways to further study.

The Certificate III in Patisserie will give you the skills to pursue job opportunities in the world of patisserie through Holmesglen's specialised training program.

Throughout your studies, you will gain the ability to become a qualified cook, specialising in patisserie.

Future work may be undertaken in various hospitality and retail enterprises where patisserie products are prepared and served, including restaurants, hotels, patisseries, bakeries, cafes and coffee shops.


The Certificate IV in Patisserie will give you the skills and knowledge to become a qualified cook specialising in patisserie, and to hold a team leading or supervisory role.

Course study areas include chocolate, sugar work, sweet buffets, food hygiene and safety, team leadership and managing diversity.

Studying in Holmesglen's state-of-the-art facilities with our industry experienced teaching staff will allow you to step straight into this fast paced, exciting industry.

This could lead to work in various hospitality enterprises where patisserie products are prepared and served, including patisseries, restaurants, hotels, catering operations and coffee shops.
