The Bachelor of Building Surveying is a four-year (equivalent) professional course designed to meet the needs of the building surveying industry.

The first three-years (equivalent) of the course focus on the provision of a foundation of knowledge and skills that prepares you for a wide range of possible graduate vocational occupations in the building industry, taking into account the high level of mobility, especially at mid-career stage, of professional and para-professional practitioners.

The program incorporates a syllabus and subject structure designed to demonstrate the interrelationships involved in the building process that you would expect to encounter in the building construction workplace.

You will develop an in-depth technical knowledge in building surveying and will be able to operate independently as a professional within this field. Its strong vocational and building discipline focus will assist you in meeting the academic requirements for membership of relevant professional bodies in the building sector.

All academic staff in the Bachelor of Building Surveying have extensive, relevant industry/professional experience and higher education teaching experience. The facilities used by students include dedicated computer labs.

The course is accredited and/or recognized by the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors and the Victorian Building Authority (VBA).

The capstone Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation subject, and practical placement with an employer, exposes you to the need for innovation, to manage change and uncertainty, and ensure that your work is grounded firmly in modern practical application.

This course is a four-year degree designed to meet the professional requirements for accreditation by the Australian Institute of Building and the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors.

The course embraces the construction management and quantity surveying fields of study, which are generally considered to fall within the management disciplines and financial administration of building projects through their life cycle.

The first three years of the course focus on building a foundation of knowledge and skills that prepare you for a wide range of possible graduate vocational occupations in the building industry.

All academic staff in the Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics have extensive, relevant industry/professional experience and higher education teaching experience.


This contemporary four-year Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching prepares students to teach children from birth to 12 years.

Graduates will be qualified early childhood and primary teachers, eligible to apply for Victorian Institute of Teaching registration and able to seek employment as primary school teachers (Foundation to Year 6), and early childhood teachers within licensed early childhood settings, including Kindergartens (Birth to 4 years old), in Victoria.

Our students learn through a combination of on-campus theory and well supported practicum experiences. Students attend practicum within every semester of the course and across a range of early childhood education areas including pre-schools/kindergartens and primary schools.

All Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching academic staffs have extensive industry experience in early childhood and primary settings, as well as higher education teaching experience.

This course has Victorian Institute of Teaching accreditation.

Holmesglen's Bachelor of Information Systems has been developed to provide graduates with strong technical skills required to work in the Information Technology Industry. This course has a practical, hands-on approach to learning, focused on building technical skills from the ground up.

The course provides students with broad capability across the areas of Networking, Programming and Web Design, Database Design, Cyber Security and Business Analytics. Subjects feature learning in business analysis, cloud computing, virtualisation, cyber security, big data and business intelligence, business management, information security and network security.

Your supported clinical practice will take place in a variety of healthcare settings throughout Victoria. You are exposed to clinical practice early in the course, and the range of clinical placements include aged care, acute and sub-acute, community, mental health, paediatric and high dependency nursing.

At the health precinct at our Moorabbin campus, we have invested over $5 million to create the highest standard of health training equipment and facilities in Victoria. On successful completion of the Bachelor of Nursing at Holmesglen, you may apply for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).


The Bachelor of Sport Business has been designed to develop students to work in the ever growing and competitive sports industry.

The course has four streams: sport management, commercial sport, sports media, and sport development. This ensures graduates will be able to work in a variety of roles including professional sport, sports leagues, sport consultancy, government sport agencies, sports venues and sports event companies.

The course offers significant internship opportunities where students work in sporting organisations. There is also significant industry engagement: guest speakers, field trips and the 228 hour internship with one of our sports organisation partners.

Students will be equipped to work in a variety of roles with sports leagues and clubs, sports media organisations, media organisations and sports agencies.

The course offers significant applied learning opportunities where students function as consultants to sporting organisations developing the skills required by industry. There is significant industry engagement: guest speakers, field trips and a 228 hour internship with one of our industry partners such as Fox Footy, Herald Sun, Melbourne Stars, SEN1116, AFL Victoria, Basketball Victoria and Cricket Victoria.

This degree facilitates real world opportunities for students, ensuring they learn more and do more and are prepared for an exciting sports media career.

The experienced academic staff have extensive industry experience in journalism, marketing, communications, public relations, broadcasting, business and sponsorship. The facilities used for the course include access to a television studio, radio booth and video equipment.

The Master of Professional Accounting equips you with the skills and expertise required to excel in the professional field of accounting. Graduates of the course will have a thorough foundation in the traditional disciplines underpinning the accounting profession.

Throughout the course, you will become proficient in integrating advanced theoretical and technical accounting and related knowledge. This includes auditing and assurance, finance, economics, quantitative methods, information systems, taxation law, and business and corporations law.

In addition, you will develop an understanding of research methods and a selection of advanced taxation law and practice, advanced business and corporations law, corporate governance and management.
