Studying the Certificate IV in Information Technology (Gaming Development) at Holmesglen

The program has been designed from the ground up to take advantage of the latest industry software and development environments, giving you the skills necessary to design, develop and deploy games to your target platform. You will make the most of the industry's latest software (including Maya, Unity, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop, and 3D Coat) and learn create a wide range of games.<br> <br>During this practical program, you will develop the skills and knowledge you need to get your foot in the door or launch your own indie title.<br> <br>Skills you will acquire include:<br>• 3d Modelling<br>• 3d Sculpting<br>• Character development<br>• Asset design<br>• Concept Art <br>• 2d design<br>• Level design<br>• Animation<br>• Narrative Design<br>• UI development<br>• Visual effects<br>• Game Design<br>• C# Game programming

Entry Requirements

All applicants must be at least 17 years of age. Prior to enrollment or commencement of training, you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan and identify any support needs. Your digital and computer skills will also be determined and confirmed during this process.
Applicants for the ICT40120 Certificate IV in Information Technology (Gaming Development) program must be 17 years old and above.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. This program is delivered in a hybrid format, enabling learners to attend either in person on campus or remotely through scheduled live WebEx sessions, following the provided timetable.
