Studying the Diploma of Project Management at Holmesglen

Whether you want to improve your delivery capability or attain formal qualifications and/or professional recognition, this program aims to meet your needs in a specified six month time-frame.<p>Effective project management, as a specialisation, has the potential to positively contribute to an organisation's bottom line, performance and reputation.<p>Whether large or small, government or private, local or national, many organisations are recognising that their competitive advantage is often achieved through project work.<p>Career opportunities exist in fields such as building and construction, engineering, information technology, health, education, and many more.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 18 years of age.<p>It is preferable that applicants have the following:<br>• BSB40920 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice; OR<br>• Vocational experience in project roles where students may have had some limited responsibility for the output of others but do not have a formal project management qualification
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training, you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability for the course, verifying your training plan, and identifying any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Course Structure

Timetable

Remote learning on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6pm to 10pm.<br>Students will be required to attend campus for role-playing workshops.<br>There will be additional consultations provided by the teachers throughout the semester. <p>To complete this qualification you must complete a total number of 12 units being <br>8 core units plus 4 elective units.<p>The elective units have been chosen by Holmesglen via feedback and consultation with various Industry organisations.
