Studying the Diploma of Project Management at Holmesglen combines classroom instruction with practical learning to help you apply project management principles in workplace contexts. Throughout the course, you'll build your skills by working through project simulations and real-world scenarios that reflect the challenges of managing projects across a range of industries.<p>Experienced teachers provide personalised guidance as you develop practical skills in planning, coordinating and monitoring projects, using project management tools, techniques and best practices to support successful project delivery. The course also encourages teamwork and communication, helping you develop the collaborative skills required to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders.<p>Digital course delivery is supported through Holmesglen's <a href="https://www.holmesglen.edu.au/current-students/course-resources/it-help-and-online-tools#accordion-a099c8bf38-item-2b760ff310">Brightspace learning management system</a>, providing access to learning materials, assessments, discussion forums and online collaboration tools. Students also have access to <a href="https://www.holmesglen.edu.au/current-students/library">library services</a>, Webex and a wide range of <a href="https://www.holmesglen.edu.au/current-students/student-support">student support services</a>, including the <a href="https://www.holmesglen.edu.au/current-students/course-resources/learning-skills-centre">Learning Skills Centre</a>, <a href="https://www.holmesglen.edu.au/current-students/student-support/disability-support">disability support</a> and career advice.

Entry Requirements

It is preferable that learners have one or more of the following:<br>• Relevant work experience in an administration or project-related role. <br>• Hold an AQF Level 5 qualification. <br>• VCE (ATAR) or equivalent. <br>• Be a mature-age applicant (at least 18 years of age and away from formal study for at least one year). <br>Applicants may be required to participate in a pre-training review and/or provide evidence of their language, literacy, numeracy and digital capability in accordance with Holmesglen's Admissions Procedure. Where required, an approved LLN assessment may be used to support the assessment of course suitability and identify any learner support needs.<br>Language, literacy and numeracy requirements<br>The language, literacy and numeracy requirements for this course are Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Level 3 (working at Level 4).<br>Language<br>• Evaluates and integrates information and ideas to construct meaning from a range of familiar and some unfamiliar texts and text types. <br>• Selects and applies a range of reading strategies appropriate to the purpose and text type. <br>• Communicates relationships between ideas and information in a style appropriate to the audience and purpose. <br>• Selects vocabulary, grammatical structures and conventions appropriate to the text. <br>Numeracy<br>• Selects and interprets mathematical information that may be partly embedded in a range of familiar and some less familiar tasks and texts. <br>• Selects from and uses a variety of developing mathematical and problem-solving strategies in familiar and some less familiar contexts. <br>• Uses a combination of both informal and formal oral and written mathematical language and representation to communicate mathematically. <br>Digital literacy<br>• ACSF Level 3 (working at Level 4).

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training.
