Entry Requirements

As this is an apprenticeship delivery, all students must have an employer and a valid Apprenticeship Contract in place prior to commencement.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability for the course and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Assessment

Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.

How to apply

Apprenticeship

Students will be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when undertaking practical activities and attending site visits. The personal protective equipment and course materials students will be required to supply are: <br>Safety boots Safety pants <br>Work shirt (no singlets) Safety glasses <br>Safety gloves <br>Retractable Steel Tape (Metric 8m) <br>Notebook, HB Pencil, blue or black pen, eraser <br>BYO device / Laptop approximately $400 plus <br>The total cost of these items is between $350 - $800 <br>If additional safety equipment is required, it will be supplied by the Institute.
