When you complete a certificate course in plastering with Holmesglen, you'll learn specialised skills in restoring and renovating solid plaster work, applying a variety of texture finishes and leveling surfaces. And we have four specialised streams in flooring technology, with a strong 15 year record in training flooring apprenticeships in timber, carpet, vinyl and other resilient flooring technologies for both domestic and commercial installations.

Visit us on Open Day at 6.30pm for a formal presentation highlighting the unique elements and benefits of each trade. Following the presentation there will be a tour across each of the trades workshops with teachers available to answer any specific questions.

The Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing provides a trade certificate in waterproofing for the residential and commercial construction industry.

Delivery and assessment will be in a simulated environment covering all aspects of the waterproofing industry.

During the course you will learn the application of sealants and sealant devices, waterproofing tools, equipment processes and techniques.

You will learn how to apply waterproofing in a range of wet area settings. This includes, below ground, internal and external areas and remedial processes

The course aims to provide all learners with an understanding of the waterproofing standards and best industry practices.

This course provides you with comprehensive skills and knowledge in roof tiling, including tiling regular and irregular roofs, repairing and renovating tile and slate roofs, interpreting plans and specifications, and workplace safety.

The course is delivered in our specially designed facilities, where an emphasis is placed on providing hands on, practical training wherever possible.

This course provides comprehensive training for solid plastering, covering all practical and theoretical aspects of the trade.

Solid plastering deals with the application of gypsum and cement materials in a plastic state spread and formed to a desired finish.

It is integral to the modern day construction process.

As a particularly visible element of any structure, it requires attention to detail and is relevant to contemporary building, as well as to restoration and heritage work.

Solid plasterers are required to work on all types of internal and external finishes, therefore a great degree of skill and knowledge is required.

This course is delivered as a blended model with both on campus and onsite delivery.

The Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling provides comprehensive training for wall and floor tiling, and covers all practical and theoretical aspects of the trade.

Much of wall and floor tiling work is straightforward, but it often requires skill and judgement.

You must understand working drawings of buildings and be able to apply basic mathematics. Wall and floor tilers also do more complicated tiling work such as mosaics, pools and spas.

These jobs require training, ability and experience. As a wall and floor tiler, you can work on commercial and domestic projects.

Your work is an art and will stand for many years, with your skills in demand.

You will receive hands on training from industry experienced teachers, train in excellent training facilities that are acknowledged as the best in Victoria, and gain practical experience on full scale projects.
