Overview

The Course in Civil Construction Pathway is a short course targeted at new entrants to the civil construction sector who need training to fill entry-level roles. It also offers the opportunity for those already working in the sector to switch trades. The course builds relevant skills to ensure learners are job-ready. <p>This course provides a pathway to further qualifications and is not intended to replace full certificate-level qualifications.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.<p>Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. The required Literacy level is 2 and the numeracy level is 2. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training.
