Students honoured with Victorian International Education Awards

Two of our students were proudly recognised for their passion and dedication at the 2018 Victorian International Education Awards.

Iyiade (Hybee) Aibinuomo was presented with the International Alumnus of the Year accolade, while Ka Ho (Dereck) Lee received two awards, International Student of the Year (VET) and the Premier’s Award for International Student of the Year 2018.

Hybee completed his Bachelor of Nursing with us, and is now a mental health nurse at Goulburn Valley Health. He also received the Outstanding Higher Education Student award at our 2018 Holmesglen Gala Awards Dinner, and features in our Destination More campaign.

Dereck is currently in his final semester of the CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services. Both of his awards recognise his efforts in making Victoria a leading destination for international students.

“We’re making sure international students studying in Victoria feel safe, supported and at home,” said Minister for Trade and Investment, Philip Dalidakis.

Both students were awarded $10,000 scholarships for their efforts.
