Holmesglen partners with St Kilda Football Club
A new partnership between St. Kilda Football Club and Holmesglen has commenced, with students and members to benefit.
The Saints will create internship and work experience opportunities for students while Holmesglen will also provide St Kilda Football Club players, staff and members with education and training opportunities.
Holmesglen Chief Executive Mary Faraone discussed the potential of the collaboration and believes the partnership will help strengthen the Institute’s community ties.
“A key focus of our Vision 2020 is our commitment to continue to work with and within our communities. The opportunity to partner with the St Kilda Football Club in Moorabbin has great potential to enhance our work in the communities we share,” she said.
St Kilda Football Club moved back to its traditional home, Moorabbin, in 2018 – with RSEA Park located only a few blocks from our Moorabbin campus.
St Kilda Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer Christine Finnegan affirmed the benefits those involved will receive.
“We are excited by the opportunity to upskill our people and provide personal development opportunities for our players. At the same time, we look forward to providing opportunities for Holmesglen students and the positive impact they can have on our club.”
St Kilda Football Club captain Jarryn Geary is an ambassador for Holmesglen's Run for Change 2018 – a charity run/walk, which supports the fight against family violence and bullying.
