From fitness graduate to business owner
Fitness graduate Shane Grant has proven his ambitions are every bit as active as the field he has embraced.
Shane is the owner of Coaching Zone Ferntree Gully, a new high-tech small group training space helping the local community improve their health and wellbeing. The combination of technology, in particular the heart rate system, will allow members to record their workout levels and make sure they’re exercising to the right intensity.
“The MYZONE monitoring system allows clients to keep track of their progress and helps to create a sense of community. It’s an exercise environment built on friendly competition and personal bests. It also provides tracking and accountability outside of the studio,” Shane says.
Clients have the option to choose from eight respective workout sessions. Shane believes the potential of the system, coupled with his coaching and advice, is found in the way it supports all age and fitness categories.
“It’s quite extraordinary - the fairness of the system means you can have a 20-year-old sportsperson working out next to someone twice their age who’s just starting a new fitness regime and either has a chance at taking the lead depending on who’s pushing themselves harder in that moment.”
