The Holmesglen Youth Foyer represents a new paradigm in supporting young people who cannot live at home, to access and engage with education. In partnership with
Hanover and
Brotherhood of St Laurence, the Holmesglen Youth Foyer offers young people aged 16-24 student style accommodation and the support of a team of highly skilled youth workers and teachers.
In operation since May 2013, the Holmesglen Youth Foyer operates from an "Open Talent" framework, which works from the premise that all young people have skills, knowledge and talents they can draw upon and develop to achieve their goals.
The Holmesglen delivered Certificate in Developing Independence is offered to all Youth Foyer students. Students work closely with teachers and youth workers to form individualised plans for their education goals, incorporating their own specific strengths and developing pathways into meaningful education and employment opportunities.
