Holmesglen has a comprehensive awards and scholarships program available to both students and staff. The program is aimed at  fostering the core values of the Institute - ASPIRE - Ambition; Scholarship; Passion; Integrity; Respect and Excellence.

Scholarships available


Holmesglen Access Scholarship

All VET programs (Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma)

Value: Up to $2,000 each
Timing: Applications now open.


Apprentice Support Fund

All Apprenticeship programs 

Value: Up to $2,000 each
Timing: Applications now open.


Asylum Seeker Scholarship
Value: Up to $2,000 each
Timing: Applications now open.

International Student Scholarships

Value: Up to $1,000 each
Timing: Applications open 1 October 1 to October 31, 2021.


Allied Health Assistance

HLT43015 Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy)

Monash Health/Holmesglen scholarship for Allied Health Assistance students

Timing: Applications open  on 10 November 2020  until 30 November 2020


Koori Access Scholarship

For Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander students in all VET programs (Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma)

Value: Up to $1,000 ($500 per semester)
Timing: Applications to be announced for 2021


Simplot Scholarship

For Hospitality, Cooker, Bakery or Patisserie student in all VET programs (Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma)

Value: Up to $250 to be used for course materials
Timing: Applications closed


The Peter Grundy Scholarship
Available to international students studying in Holmesglen’s VET or higher education programs

Value: Scholarships are normally awarded at $1000 each 
Timing: Applications close at 11.59pm, Monday, 29 March 2021


Other Scholarships 

  1. CHANCES Scholarship (Boroondara only).  CHANCES is a scholarship program for talented and promising young people who live or study in the City of Boroondara.  The program is aimed at providing opportunities and support for young people in the community experiencing financial disadvantage.  The focus is to provide support to facilitate educational achievements for motivated young people. 
  2. Children of Veterans intending Tertiary Studies.  Please check the website for eligibility criteria and details on how to apply www.avcat.org.au
