Flexible Learning Centres
Students studying English language programs at the Institute have access to modern and well-equipped Flexible Learning Centres. A wide range of software, audio-visual and printed materials is available for practice and study in these Flexible Learning Centres. Specialist teachers are available in the Centre to devise and support individualised language learning programs for students.
Holmesglen provides a modern Learning Commons on each campus. Each Learning Commons provides students with libraries, conference rooms and classrooms and a central pit containing more than 200 computers. The library provides access to the Internet, a range of electronic databases, application software, and multimedia learning packages.
Helpful staff members are available to assist students to use the library and to find specific information. Computers, video players and discussion rooms may be booked in advance and printing and photocopying facilities are also available. Designated silent study areas are provided. Wi-Fi access is available in some locations on all Holmesglen campuses.
Additionally, Holmesglen students may use university libraries to borrow books through the CAVAL system of inter-library loans. Information about this system may be obtained during orientation. Holmesglen provides access to computer rooms during the day, after hours, at weekends and during the holidays.
Cafeterias are situated on all campuses and there are a number of Asian restaurants and fast-food restaurants nearby.
